Single-Car Crash Disrupts Power In Holiday City South

Berkeley police township man facing reckless driving charges and more.

A Holiday City man was injured recently when his 2012 Kia struck a JCP&L power box at the intersection of Mule Road and Santiago Drive, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Police responded to the area on Wednesday on report of a single-vehicle crash. The vehicle had jumped the curb in a northbound lane and came to rest on the power box. The crash disrupted electrical service and traffic lights in the Holiday City South section, the chief said.

The driver, Joseph Germinario 55, Guadalajara Drive, was taken to Community Medical Center for a head injury. Germinario was issued summonses for reckless driving, following too closely and failure to maintain lanes. Patrolman Christopher Elliott is the investigating officer, DiMichele said.
