South Toms River Woman And Juvenile Arrested After Motor Vehicle Stop
Alyse Shingles, 18, had an outstanding warrant, juvenile found with a controlled dangerous substance and an open container of alcohol.

Berkeley police recently arrested a South Toms River woman who had an outstanding Ocean County warrant and a juvenile who was driving with an open container of alcohol, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichael said.
Patrolman Edward Hendrickson and Patrolman Robert Flanegan conducted a motor vehicle stop at 10:45 a.m. on Jan. 5 on Chain Boulevard and Park Avenue. Further investigtion determined tht Alyse Shingles, 18, Belmont Drive, South Toms River had an outstanding warrant. The juvenile female driver was in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and an open container of alcohol, the chief said.
Shingles was taken to Berkeley police headquarters, where she was processed and turned over to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.The juvenile was transported to police headquarters for processing. Two other juveniles in the car were released to their parents, DiMichele said.
