Stephen Pendino Sr., Former Seaside Park Police Chief, Dies At 93
Services for Point Pleasant resident are slated for Monday and Tuesday.

Stephen Pendino Sr., 93, of Point Pleasant died on Wednesday March 25, 2015 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick.
Stephen was born in St. Louis, Mo. and lived most of his life in Seaside Park, before moving to Point Pleasant in 1994.He proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard, was a member of the PBA and a volunteer fireman for the Seaside Park Volunteer Fire Co. No.1 Station #45. Stephen was the Chief of Police in Seaside Park, retiring in 1984 and a member of the State Chiefs of Police Association. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and golfer. He will always be remembered as a man who was devoted to his family.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Helen Elizabeth, parents Gaspare and Paolina Pendino and his four brothers.
Surviving are his four children, Judith Silverstein and her husband Alan of Vista, Ca, June Pendino of Bay Head, NJ, Lynn Bassinder of Seaside Park, NJ and Stephen Pendino Jr. of Pt. Pleasant, NJ; his five grandchildren Stephanie, Dan, Scott, Lisa and Stephen; his twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
Family will receive friends for a memorial gathering from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday March 30, 2015 at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 145 St. Catherine Blvd. Toms River, NJ. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday March 31, 2015 at the Pt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church 701 Forman Ave. Pt. Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742. Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Bay Head Chapel, 442 Main Avenue, Bay Head, NJ 08742. Condolences may be sent by visiting www.ryanfuneralhome.com.
