Tractor Trailer Crashes Into Berkeley Plaza: VIDEO

The tractor trailer struck four other vehicles before driving over the curb and crashing into the front of Chicken Holiday, police said.

BERKELEY, NJ — A propane transport tractor trailer crashed into the entrance of Chicken Holiday in Berkeley Plaza Wednesday morning after striking four other vehicles, Berkeley police said.

At about 7 a.m., the driver, 57-year-old Todd Giglio of Whiting, was heading south on Atlantic City Boulevard when he had a medical episode, police said.

Giglio ran the red light at Atlantic City Boulevard and Frederick Drive and struck a Hyundai Tuscon waiting on the northbound side head-on, police said. The Hyundai was pushed into a telephone pole and the airbags were deployed. The driver was treated for chest pain but refused to go to the hospital, police said.
