Wallace J. Kislowski Sr., World War II U.S. Coast Guard Veteran, Dies At 97
Services will be held on Thursday.

Wallace J. Kislowski, Sr. of Forked River passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 28, 2014. He was 97 years young.
Wallace was born in Bloomfield to Julius and Felicia Kislowski and was the last of six siblings. He was married to Mildred Eaton of Bloomfield until her passing in 1993.

Wallace was a US Coast Guard veteran of World War II and served until his honorable discharge in 1943. Wallace was a former partner of Wally’s Bar & Grill and past owner of a tavern in Branchville, NJ. He was an avid golfer into his 90’s with the Lacey Golf Association,. He was a member of the VFW and a lifelong Yankees fan. Wallace is survived by his dear son Wallace, Jr. and his wife Phyllis and his longtime friend, Janice.
Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to noon at Layton’s Home for Funerals, 250 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ followed by a 12:30 Mass of Christian Burial at St. Pius X Church. Committal follows at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, North Hanover Twp.
