UPDATE: Video Captured Of Watersprout On Long Beach Island
National Weather Service has yet to confirm what that was on Tuesday.

Reports of tornados touching down in central and southern New Jersey were rampant Tuesday night as storms ravaged much of the Garden State.

But no tornadoes actually touched down in New Jersey, the National Weather Service reported.
The below video, posted to Facebook by Jack Bushko, shows a watersprout running across the waters of Long Beach Island. The footage shows the winds beginning to pick up steam to the left around the 2:45 minute mark.

The National Weather Service confirmed Wednesday it was investigating whether sightings in South Jersey were in fact tornadoes.
