Wunder Wiener Inching Closer To Reopening In Bayville: Report
Slowly but surely, der Wunder Wiener is working on its return to Bayville, with some updates and details shared in a new report.

BAYVILLE, NJ — It's been more than four years since a SUV slammed into Bayville landmark der Wunder Wiener, severely injuring owner Gerald LaCrosse and destroying the roadside hot dog stand.

A new WOBM report says that Wunder Wiener is closer than before to reopening, though no official date has been given.

Joel Balazinski, Sr., the general contractor of the new Wunder Wiener, gave some details to WOBM about the new spot.
It will now be located at 108 Atlantic City Blvd., in the vacant lot between Blackbeard's Cave and Fuller Marina, according to WOBM.

"While we're locked into taking things one step at a time, we're still moving steadily forward," Balazinski told the station.
In the years since the accident, LaCrosse has wanted to bring back the stand. But his recovery, coupled with the pandemic, have not made that easy.
The stand still needs some work, and utilities still need to be hooked up, according to the report.
But hopefully soon, Bayville's beloved Wunder Wiener will return, and locals can again enjoy a delicious Italian hot dog.
