Bernardsville and Gladstone United Methodist Churches invite you to reflect, anticipate, and celebrate this upcoming Advent and Christmas season. From December 1st till January 5th, Bernardsville and Gladstone United Methodist Churches will explore the hope of Christmas through the sermon series “Hope is On the Way.” In the midst of a busy time, it is easy to forget the hope offered to us through the birth of Jesus. Join us as we explore the hope that God gives us through Jesus Christ and what that means for our lives today. At Bernardsville UMC, a children’s message and child care will be provided during worship, and fellowship hour will take place after worship each Sunday. Also, Bernradsville UMC will begin celebrating Holy Communion every Sunday on December 1st.
At Gladstone UMC, along with the sermon series, we will be holding our traditional living nativity on December 8th at 5:00 p.m. This nativity presentation will feature real people and REAL animals and will be followed by refreshments. This event is part of a larger holiday celebration in Peapack-Gladstone that day.
On Christmas Eve (December 24th) at 8:00 p.m., all are invited to join together at Bernardsville UMC for A Christmas Eve Festival of Lessons and Carols. This special service will be a celebration of the hope of Christmas as told through Scripture, the singing of Christmas carols, and the celebration of Holy Communion.
