BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — Area residents are invited to take advantage of free skin cancer screenings being offered by the Bernards Township Health Department later this week.
The screenings will take place on Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16, at the Fellowship Village Wellness Center, 8000 Fellowship Road in Basking Ridge.
The screenings include a confidential, full-body skin examination performed by a board-certified dermatologist to help detect skin cancer, including melanoma, at an early stage.
The program is open to adults ages 18 and older who have never attended a Bernards Township skin cancer screening and are not currently under the care of a dermatologist.
Appointments are required. Residents can schedule a screening by calling Tara at 908-204-2069 or Jackie at 908-204-3068.
A suggested donation of $20 is requested to support the program.
Health officials encourage eligible residents to participate, noting that early detection is one of the most effective tools in identifying and treating skin cancer.
