Jacobus Vanderveer House to Host July 4 Community Picnic
The family-friendly event will feature patriotic music by John Luckenhill's 20-piece pops band, among other activities.
BEDMINSTER, NJ — The Jacobus Vanderveer House & Museum will host a community picnic celebration on Fourth of July commemorating the annual Field of Honor event and America’s 250th Anniversary.
From noon to 3 p.m., the family-friendly event will feature patriotic music by John Luckenhill’s 20-piece pops band, historic games, and appearances by historical reenactors.
Food and adult beverages will be available for purchase.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Jacobus Vanderveer House & Museum.
More than 200 American flags, each measuring 3 by 5 feet, will be displayed in the north field of River Road Park during the Field of Honor initiative.

Residents can adopt a flag personalized with their own sentiment in honor of a veteran, active-duty service member or loved one.
Flag adoptions are $40 at the Bedminster Municipal Building, One Miller Lane, or $45 online at register.communitypass.net/Bedminster.
Flags may be picked up July 15 beginning at 4 p.m., or sponsors may check a box on the order form to donate their flag back to the Jacobus Vanderveer House.
