Lantern Walk To Be Held Nov. 5 In Bedminster

Admission includes an illuminated paper lantern for each person, music, a bonfire and refreshments.

BEDMINSTER, NJ — The Raritan Headwaters’ annual Lantern Walk will be held on Nov. 5 at the Fairview Farm wildlife preserve.

Raritan Headwaters will continue its tradition of celebrating ā€œLanternenlaufen,ā€ a historic European festival marking the end of the agricultural year and the beginning of the harvest, with two walks through the meadows of Fairview Farm.

ā€œNothing’s more fun than a parade of colorful lanterns on the first autumn night after the end of Daylight Savings Time,ā€ said Cindy Ehrenclou, RHA’s executive director. ā€œFestive music will play as we carry our lanterns through the meadows, and afterwards we’ll enjoy snacks around a bonfire.ā€
