Photographs by Jim DelGiudice on Exhibition at Bernardsville Library in October

At once ironic and sentimental in nature, each photo comes with a back story, and it's hoped that the viewer will enjoy the thought process.

“A Small Thing But My Own," photographs by Jim DelGiudice, will be on exhibit at Bernardsville Public Library in October. The artist’s reception, which is open to the public, will be Sunday, October 8 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

A lifetime New Jersey resident, Jim DelGiudice picked up a camera for the first time in 1979 and has been documenting the local scene ever since. This show consists of a set of mostly unexhibited and unpublished pictures with surprising details. At once ironic and sentimental in nature, these are the photos that have provided Mr. DelGiudice, a resident of Basking Ridge, the most joy over his years as a visual artist. Each image comes with a back story, and it’s hoped that the viewer will enjoy the thought process (or sometimes lack of it!) that went into their creation.

Mr. DelGiudice’s photography has appeared in books for Rutgers Press, nominations for the National Register of Historic Places, and has won him a share of the NJ Historic Preservation Award three times. A graduate of the Newhouse School, he’s been cited by both the state and county legislatures for his lifetime contribution to the arts.
