• House fire displaces family in Blackwood (newportdispatch.com) — A family in Blackwood has been displaced after a house fire on Amber Court left their home uninhabitable, though no residents or firefighters were injured. Multiple local fire companies, including Blackwood Fire Company, quickly brought the blaze under control, but two pets were found dead inside. Officials say the fire does not appear suspicious and the family has arranged alternate housing.
