• Long-overdue N.J. train station project just got a $500K boost (nj.com subscription) — Blairstown is named as a future stop on a proposed Scranton–New York rail corridor, which just received a $500,000 federal security grant for work at the planned Andover station. The long-delayed Lackawanna Cut-Off project still faces a funding gap and years of construction, but officials say it could eventually give Blairstown residents a new rail option to Hoboken and New York City.
