Oct. 6 – “Officers responded to 12 First Avenue (K&Y convenience store) on report of a glass break alarm. The employees were sitting in the store with a curtain over the front door when they heard a very loud bang from a brick that was thrown at the glass from the outside. Immediately after the brick was thrown into the glass, which did not shatter the door, a suspect dressed in a black-hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a ski mask over his face pushed the glass out of the door frame into the store in an attempt to gain entry into the store. Once the suspect saw that there were people inside the store, he fled west on First Avenue towards North 15th Street. This incident is under investigation.”
