2 Burglaries Reported At Bloomfield College In A Week: Police

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — For the second time in a week, a burglary was reported on the campus of Bloomfield College, authorities said Thursday.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to 463 Franklin Street on Feb. 23 after getting a report of a burglary.

Bloomfield College security staff told police that a safe containing about $2,000 in petty cash was taken from the administration office.

The incident is under investigation, authorities said; no additional information was immediately available.

FREMONT STREET BURGLARY

A separate burglary was recently reported at the Bloomfield College campus.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, officers responded to 63 Fremont Street after getting a report of a burglary on Feb. 16. Read More: Burglaries Reported At Bloomfield College, BMW Dealership

Campus security said they saw a "suspicious person" on video surveillance walking through rooms inside the building. The suspect broke the lock to a storage closet and attempted to steal "numerous electronics," police said.
