BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police released details about three recent vehicle thefts on Monday.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, the following incidents were recently reported in the township.

June 20 - Officers responded to the area of Waldo Avenue on report of a motor vehicle theft. The owner parked his white 2020 Jeep Wrangler in front of his residence on June 20. When he returned later that day, the vehicle was not there. He had a spare key fob to the vehicle in a second unlocked vehicle in the driveway. Two men were seen on surveillance cameras taking the vehicle around 9:25 p.m. The vehicle was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as stolen. The incident is under investigation.

June 23 - Officers responded to 133 Bloomfield Avenue (Dunkin’ Donuts) on report of a motor vehicle theft. The driver left his vehicle, a gray 2017 Dodge Durango, running and unlocked in the parking lot. He then saw an unknown man enter his vehicle and drive off with it on Bloomfield Avenue. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen. The incident is under investigation.

June 23 - Officers responded to Lawrence Street on report of a motorcycle theft. The owner parked his motorcycle in a marked spot in the parking garage overnight. Upon returning to the motorcycle at 8:25 a.m., he noticed it was gone. The motorcycle is a white 2020 Suzuki DRZ. The motorcycle was entered into NCIC as stolen. The incident is under investigation.
