3-Year Degree: Bloomfield College Student Raises Bar For Peers
An ambitious New Jersey college student is primed to raise the bar for getting a quick education when she completes her B.A. in 3 years.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Most college students are struggling with completing their bachelor’s degrees in four or five years. But an ambitious Essex County scholar is primed to raise the bar for getting a quick college education.
When Bloomfield College student Alexandria Glasper graduates in May of 2017, she will have spent just three years attaining her bachelor of science degree in international business, according to university administrators.
But lest you think that the Rancocas Valley High School and Mount Holly resident took the easy path to victory, consider this: she is a standout on the Bloomfield College volleyball team, boasts a 3.95 GPA, was the recipient of the Presidential Scholar Award and took home the Jeanne Palmer Soudekine Student Meal and Housing Assistance Fund Scholarship.

Somehow, Glasper manages to balance her academics, volleyball, a part-time job as a tutor and youth volleyball coach and her responsibilities as a student employee within the Office of Institutional Advancement.
“I am like a robot,” Glasper told university administrators. “I battled depression in high school and my way of dealing with that was to stay focused on school and volleyball. [The] silver lining to all of that was it pushed me.”

Glasper plans to enter the workforce after graduating in order to gain experience for graduate school, and has her sights set on New York City and the Fashion Institute of Technology, university administrators stated.
But like all good college students, she apparently knows that it’s also important to have fun.
The industrious scholar-athlete plans to “spend her summer in Europe” before starting her job search, administrators said.
