Arrest Made In Connection With 7-Eleven Robbery In Bloomfield
Bloomfield police arrested a man who was allegedly involved in a "strong-arm robbery." But 3 other suspects are at large, authorities say.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police arrested a man who was allegedly involved in a “strong-arm robbery” at a local convenience store last month, but three other suspects remain at large, authorities announced Tuesday.
The Bloomfield Police Department said that officers responded to the 7-Eleven on Bloomfield Avenue around 5:20 a.m. on Aug. 23 after getting a report about a robbery. The victim said he was working the gas pumps when a man and woman got out of a 2010 Mercedes E350, “assaulted the employees” and took a printer/cash drawer.
The gas station attendant fought off the man and woman, but two other people got out of the car and joined in the assault before fleeing the scene, authorities said.

EMS workers treated the gas station attendant for minor scratches and cuts, authorities said.
According to police, the vehicle used in the robbery was reported stolen out of Little Falls. The vehicle – which had NJ registration “F96PTP” – was recovered a few hours later near 4th Avenue and North Grove Street in East Orange.

Bloomfield detectives later recovered “key evidence and video” that led to the arrest of Quaanamoni Phanelson, 20, of East Orange.
“The detective bureau is still investigating the incident to identify and apprehend three other suspects, who are still at large,” authorities said Wednesday, releasing surveillance photos taken at the scene (see below).
