Cops: Clerk and Gas Attendant Refused to Hand Over Money

A botched robbery attempt at the 7-Eleven on Bloomfield Avenue ended with the arrest of a 26-year-old woman on March 2.

Police said that shortly before midnight, Kateema McLean entered the store, placed her hand in her pocket and demanded all the money from the register. When the clerk refused, McLean went outside and repeated her demand to the gas attendant, who also refused to comply.

McLean then allegedly attempted to force a bystander to give her a ride from the scene, but police arrived on the scene before she could escape and placed her under arrest.
