Bloomfield Cancels Shredding Event Due To Coronavirus
The shredding event was scheduled for May 9 but has been cancelled due to coronavirus.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ -- The Bloomfield DPW has made the decision to cancel the previously scheduled May 9 shredding event. The decision was made in order to protect Bloomfield Township employees and the public from possible exposure to COVID-19. The event will be rescheduled for some time in the fall.

“From the beginning of this crisis we have exercised an abundance of caution in order to keep municipal employees and the public safe,” said Mayor Michael Venezia. “These shredding events are a valuable service that we provide our residents and I am disappointed that we had to cancel it. We will look to reschedule this event as soon as it is safe to do so.”
