Bloomfield College to Host Winter Open House Sunday, Dec. 4

“The Bloomfield College open house events are when the campus becomes an open book,” says Adam Castro, the interim vice president for enrollment management. “It gives prospective students and their families a transparent look at what the campus has to offer.”

This open house gives prospective students a chance to explore over 60 academic programs, student life and fun giveaways. 

“Bloomfield is a caring institution for students searching for better opportunities in life,” said Carlos Gomez, second year College Ambassador.  Student Ambassadors work with the Admissions office, giving tours and acting as advocates for the college.

The small size of Bloomfield College gives it a community feeling.  Students know one another and teachers provide one-on-one attention. The average student to teacher ratio is 14:1.

“It’s challenging to say the least. It prepares you for the professional world,” says Kripa Patel, a junior nursing student.  “It’s a great place to learn and promotes leadership and teamwork.” The Nursing program at Bloomfield consists of hands-on experience and offers a well-rounded liberal arts education.

The Creative Arts and Technology (CAT) department consists of many different programs such as animation, digital video, music technology, game development, graphic design and exposure to the latest creative programs.

Bloomfield College offers majors in Education, Clinical laboratory Sciences, Allied Health Technologies, Business, Computer Information Systems and more.  Enrollment includes approximately 2100 full time and part time students.

“I chose Bloomfield College because it was small and family-oriented. It’s not 300 people in a classroom, you get individual attention and that makes you feel more involved,” says Student Ambassador, Juliana Emedom-Nnamdi. 

Student life is strongly encouraged at Bloomfield College. There are over 25 student clubs and organizations from which to to choose.  The college experience means meeting new people, developing your skills as a leader and having fun participating in campus activities.

The Bloomfield College Open House will give an in depth view of the academic programs and student life. Our student ambassadors will not only give tours, but will talk to you about their experiences at Bloomfield.  There will be music, food and prizes, so come on over and find out what Bloomfield College is all about!
