Bloomfield Cops Catch Alleged Charity Tip Jar Thief

Police arrest Irvington woman after receiving anonymous tips from the public.

Bloomfield police have arrested a woman allegedly responsible for stealing $300 from a charity tip jar intended to help sufferers of RETT syndrome.

According to authorities, Laura Grune, 48, of Irvington, was arrested after police received multiple anonymous tips from the public.

Grune was allegedly caught on camera stealing the money from Hot Bagels Abroad & Deli on May 17.

She was charged with theft and released after posting 10 percent of a $2,500 bond.
