Bloomfield Center Redevelopment Moves Forward
Governing body approves a plan that could put 140 apartments and 11,000 square feet of retail space into largely vacant Bloomfield Center.

A plan to develop a new apartment and retail complex at Bloomfield Center moved forward to becoming reality after winning approval from the Bloomfield Council Monday night, according to a published report.
Under the terms of the plan, the town will get a new occupant for the vacant Annie Sez space on Broad Street, 140 new apartment residences and 11,000 square feet of new retail space, reported Bloomfield Life. In return, the development would pay an annual fee of $330,000 each year for 30 years in lieu of paying taxes.
The application now moves to the Bloomfield Planning Board for consideration, the article said.
