As stated on the gastropub’s menu, guests can participate in the program by purchasing and posting their Essex Junction “Local Legend” cocktails to social media. Essex Junction then donates 50 percent of the proceeds of the posted drink purchases (about $2.25 per post) to the Bloomfield Educational Foundation to support education.
If one of the actual “Local Legends” the drinks are named after shares the post on social media, an additional $50 will be donated, the restaurant announced in a news release.

“We are excited about the program with Essex Junction and our hope is that the program will catch-on and grow with Essex Junction’s guests and each month’s donation will surpass the last,” Michael Sceurman, member of the BEF stated. “Our goal is that that other Bloomfield businesses will follow Essex Junction’s lead and implement similar programs.”
