Bloomfield Event: After Women's March On Washington, What Next?

Bloomfield Councilwoman-At-Large Nina Davis is spearheading a public meet-and-greet rally on Feb. 2.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Bloomfield area activists will gather on Thursday, Feb. 2, to hold a public meetup and meet-and-greet rally from 6 to 9 p.m. at Town Pub of Bloomfield, 378 Broad St.

According to a news release from organizers, the meetup is intended to carry on the momentum from the Women's March on Washington protests that took place on Jan. 21.

Participants at the Feb. 2 event will fill out individualized postcards for elected representatives about "important progressive issues" and get a chance to "meet like-minded individuals and informally discuss issues and collective next steps."

The event is drop-in and participants can stay 15 minutes or the whole time. Postcards will be provided.

The action is being organized by Concerned Citizens of Bloomfield and Montclair and spearheaded by Bloomfield Councilwoman-At-Large Nina Davis.
