"The Bloomfield Fire Department has been and will continue to help residents and businesses remove water from their basements. We will continue to do this until all requests for help have been completed. I apologize for any delays and not being able to get to anyone who still needs help. We will continue to work until the job is done. If you still have more than 6 inches of water in your basement and would like our assistance please email me your name, address and phone number at lvenezia@bloomfieldtwpnj.com. Please bear with us as we have been working non stop since the start of the storm and each house takes approximately 1 to 2 hours to complete. If you smell natural gas or have carbon monoxide alarms sounding please call 911 and evacuate your home."
