It’s Final: Bloomfield Election Results 2016, Mayor, BOE, Town Council

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — One of the most mud-splattered U.S. presidential elections in recent history officially left its mark in Bloomfield for 2016 when voters weighed in Tuesday. But whose candidates emerged victorious?

As of Wednesday, here are the final results according to the Essex County Clerk's Office:

Bloomfield Mayor

35 out of 35 districts reported

• Michael Venezia (D) - 12,680 votes (72.46 %)
• David G. Tucker (R) - 4,222 votes (24.13 %)
• Richard J. Galioto, Sr. (I) - 578 votes (3.3 %)

Bloomfield Township Council

35 out of 35 districts reported

• Wartyna Nina Davis (D) - 11,277 votes (23.75 %)
• Theodore Ted Gamble (D) - 11,087 votes (23,35 %)
• Carlos Pomares (D) - 11,100 votes (23.38 %)
• Cira A. Spina, III (R) - 4,737 votes (9.98 %)
• Caeser Mazzeo, Sr. (R) - 4,635 votes (9.76 %)
• Hector A. Correa (R) - 4,629 votes (9.75 %)

Bloomfield Board of Education

35 out of 35 districts reported

• Jill Fischman - 6,037 votes (23.44 %)
• Lillian Mancheno - 3,702 votes (14.37 %)
• Gladys Rivera - 4,432 votes (17.21 %)
• Benjamin Morse - 1,929 votes (7.49 %)
• Shane Berger - 2,887 votes (11.21 %)
• Catherine Catzel Bumpus - 1,961 votes (7.61 %)
• Eileen Murray - 2,016 votes (7.83 %)
• Laura Izurieta - 1,228 votes (4.77 %)
• Djanna Hill-Tall - 1,501 votes (5.83 %)

One-year unexpired term

• Linda M. Lo - 3,894 votes (99.24 %)
• Write-In - 30 votes (0.76 %)

Several reported issues and delays were seen across New Jersey on Tuesday, including polling place lines that stretched blocks, a sign that appeared to tell voters that they needed ID to cast a ballot and malfunctioning voting machines.
