According to a news release from the five candidates, here are some of the common planks to their platform:

  • Enhancing Quality of Life – “Ensuring upkeep of clean streets, expanding community spaces, parks, and cultural initiatives to bring residents together and support local arts.”
  • Strengthening Public Safety – “Deepening partnerships with law enforcement and first responders while expanding mental health and youth services.”
  • Investing in Community Growth – “Supporting small businesses, preserving neighborhood character, and fostering responsible development.”

Mundell said the slate brings “real-world experience and a deep understanding of how to navigate government effectively” to the table.

“We are united by a commitment to Bloomfield’s future and a drive to serve with integrity, transparency and collaboration,” Mundell added.

Gonzalez agreed.

“Let’s build a community where every voice is heard and valued,” she said.

Fischman – the newcomer on the slate – said she plans to bring the same dedication to the job that she has demonstrated as a school board member if elected to an at-large seat on the town council.

“I look forward to advocating for residents, supporting local businesses, and ensuring Bloomfield remains a thriving and inclusive place for all,” Fischman said.
