Bloomfield Mayor, Rep. Payne To Hold Virtual Town Hall On COVID

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield Mayor Michael Venezia and U.S. Rep. Donald Payne Jr. will host a virtual town hall on Thursday, May 28 at 6 p.m.

According to a joint statement from Venezia and Payne, the purpose of the event will be to inform residents of the steps that the federal government is taking to combat the effects of COVID-19 and how it impacts Bloomfield.

The town hall can be viewed via Zoom here. Participants should enter the password 158352 at the time of the event.

Payne has virtually attended multiple Bloomfield Council meetings over the last several months to provide updates for residents.

“I look forward to working with Mayor Venezia and answering any questions they might have,” he said.

Venezia said he appreciates Payne’s participation in the virtual town hall.

“The congressman has been a great partner of Bloomfield throughout this crisis and I look forward to hearing from him on Thursday,” Venezia said.
