Bloomfield PD To Host Fishing Derby: May 14

The fishing derby will take place at Clarks Pond behind Bloomfield Middle School.

Bloomfield, NJ - The Bloomfield Police Department FOP Lodge #214 will host a fishing derby from 8 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, at Clarks Pond (behind Bloomfield Middle School).

According to a news release, the derby will start at 8 a.m. Registration starts at 7 a.m. and continues through the derby.

The contest is open to all Bloomfield children ages 16 or younger. Children must be accompanied by an adult; only Bloomfield residents are eligible for prizes.

More than $1,000 in prizes will be awarded for longest fish, first caught and any trout caught.

Event supporters include the Bloomfield Police Lodge #214, Bloomfield Recreation Department and Township Council.
