Bloomfield Police Replace Boy's Stolen 'Cop Card' Collection

A Bloomfield boy who had his entire “Bloomfield Cop Card” collection stolen got a happy surprise when the police sent him a set of replacement cards.
The trading cards are a publicity program sponsored by the Bloomfield Police Department, intended to help build new relationships with Bloomfield residents and children. The students who collect the most cards win a prize… such as new bikes for 2015. [See related Patch article]
According to a BPD social media post, when the boy informed them of the theft of his card collection, officers sent him a 22-card replacement set and checklist.
