Bloomfield Schools Closed Monday

The Bloomfield School District will close all public schools on Monday, Jan. 25, due to the winter storm, administrators announced on the district website.

Here’s what the Bloomfield Public School District says to do for snow days, cancellations and delayed openings for the 2015-16 school year:

“All notifications of a change in the regular school day schedule due to weather conditions or other emergencies are made in the following manner,” the district website states.

• VIA CODE RED PHONE CALL TO ALL DISTRICT FAMILIES. Parents should make sure their day and evening contact number is provided to their children’s school main office.
• NOTICE POSTED ON THE HOMEPAGE OF THE BLOOMFIELD SCHOOL DISTRICT WEBSITE atwww.bloomfield.k12.nj.us
• ANNOUNCEMENT MADE ON DISTRICT TWITTER ACCOUNT Tweets are posted to @07003schools. This can be setup for text messaging as well.
• TEXT MESSAGING WILL BE SENT VIA REMIND.COM. To register for this service text @bloomf to (973) 321‐3694.
• DISTRICT POSTS MESSAGES ON THE BETV PUBLIC ACCESS CABLE STATION: COMCAST CHANNEL 34, FIOS CHANNEL 40.
• NEWS MAY ALSO BE ANNOUNCED ON WNBC CHANNEL 4 NY, NEWS 12 NJ, FOX CHANNEL 5 and WABC CHANNEL 7.
