GAS STATION ROBBERY

According to Bloomfield police, another armed robbery allegedly took place at the Shell gas station at 211 Watchung Avenue around 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 10.

Police said that men in a black Range Rover with black rims, tinted windows and license plate # Y83HWV pulled into the station and asked the attendant for $20 of gas.

After the employee dispensed the gas and collected payment, the vehicle backed up and one of the men got out of the rear passenger seat, brandishing a silver handgun, police said.

When the gun-toting man demanded money, the station attendant gave him $383 from the register in his booth. Another man then grabbed the original $20 bill and got back into the front seat of the car.

The vehicle fled the scene eastbound on Watchung Avenue toward the Garden State Parkway. It has not been recovered and was entered a felony vehicle in the NCIC, police said.

Police said the gun-brandishing suspect was wearing a black skullcap and a gray mask. The second suspect had a thin build and was wearing a black skullcap and mask, authorities said.
