Bloomfield Teacher Gets Glowing Praise For Women’s History Month

Bloomfield sought nominations for local "Women to Watch." No one got more nods than Jenna Cianci.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — In tribute to Women’s History Month, Bloomfield recently sought nominations for local “Women to Watch.” And according to municipal officials, no one got more nods than Jenna Cianci.

Bloomfield officials gave a round of applause to Cianci in a social media post on Tuesday. They wrote:

“When we put the call out for recognition of women in our community, no one received more nominations than our next #2022BloomfieldWomantoWatch. Jenna Cianci’s impact on her students, their families, and our communities, is unmatched. A first-grade teacher at St. Thomas the Apostle School where she is known for her ‘legendary newsletters’ for parents, she serves as a lector at St. Thomas the Apostle and a volunteer for the Special Olympics. Jenna is loved and adored by childhood friends, current and former students, and the community alike.”

Bloomfield officials gave some examples of the glowing nominations that they received in Cianci’s name. They included:

  • “She has an amazing kind loving heart for all the kids in her life. She taught my daughter love and kindness. She has taught me how to be the best that I could be.”
  • “She goes above and beyond in the classroom; the children love her and it is evident she loves them too. I am so grateful for her and how she has inspired my son and I know she has done this for all the other children she has taught.”
  • “We always hear Mrs. Cianci use the expression ‘it takes a village…’ Perhaps that is a common phrase, but Mrs. Cianci surely means it and lives it.”
