Bloomfield Teen Missing, Police Seek Public’s Help

The missing teen has been found in Branch Brook Park in Newark before, Bloomfield police said.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Bloomfield police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing 16-year-old, authorities announced Wednesday.

According to the Bloomfield Police Department, Tina Nyang’au – who has been reported missing before – has been reported missing again by her mother.

Nyang’au left her home around 5 p.m. on April 8. She was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, camouflage leggings and pink Crocs shoes. She is 5 feet 5 inches and 120 pounds, with black/brown eyes and a dark skin complexion.

Police said Nyang’au’s phone – which is currently turned off – was tracked at Newark Penn Station on April 8. The previous two times she has gone missing, she has been located in Newark near Branch Brook Park.

Police said anyone with information can contact 24-hour dispatch at 973–680–4141.
