The Bloomfield Police Department released a friendly reminder for car owners amid the stormy forecast:

"As we anticipate a possible winter storm this weekend, the Bloomfield Police Department reminds you that parking your vehicle on any street deemed a Snow Emergency Street is strictly prohibited. We ask that you plan ahead and check your area for 'No Parking When Road Is Snow Covered' street signs."

According to a municipal alert in Bloomfield, residents must move their cars off county streets by 5 p.m. on Saturday due to the storm. The list of streets includes:

  • Broad Street
  • Bloomfield Avenue
  • Belleville Avenue
  • Franklin Street
  • Grove Street
  • Hoover Avenue
  • West Passaic Avenue
  • Watchung Avenue

"This will allow the county DPW to clear the snow properly," officials said.

Vehicles that are not moved will be subjected to being issued a ticket and towed, Bloomfield officials added.
