Bloomfield Workshop Will Teach How To Give Narcan To Overdose Victims
Want to learn how to administer Naloxone and possibly save an overdosing friend or family member?

BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Want to learn how to administer Narcan and possibly save an overdosing friend or family member? A free training workshop in Essex County on Thursday can teach you the lifesaving skills you need to make it happen.
On May 18, Bloomfield municipal officials and Grieving Parents of Bloomfield will host a free Narcan Training workshop from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Bloomfield High School Media Center, 160 Broad Street.

- How to administer Naloxone (Narcan brand name)
- Overdose prevention strategies
- Signs and symptoms of overdose
- Rescue breathing
- Overdose prevention legal rights
- Support information and resources
According to a news release, availability for the workshop is limited to 20 people, but if the event fills up a second session will be held on Monday, May 22 at the Bloomfield Middle School, 60 Huck Road, Bloomfield.
