BLOOMFIELD, NJ — Two burglaries were reported in Bloomfield last week, authorities announced Wednesday.

The Bloomfield Police Department released the following details about each incident.

Nov. 6 – Officers responded to the 100-block of North 15th Street after getting a report about a burglary. A witness told police that a man entered the garage of the residence, possibly to steal a bicycle. A suspect – later identified as Sahib Patterson, 50, of Newark – was arrested and charged with burglary, authorities said.

Nov. 10 – Officers responded to 285 Glenwood Avenue (Blue Steel Pizza) after getting a report about a burglary. The complainant said that he noticed the alarm sounding upon entering the business. Upon further inspection, he found that a window was open. Surveillance video footage shows a male wearing a black mask, gray winter hat, black zip up sweater, blue jeans, black winter gloves and black/white sneakers enter the business through the window. A police investigation continues, authorities said.
