Bloomfield Candidates Forum for June Primary

The Bloomfield Neighborhood Association Committee (BNAC) is  sponsoring a free candidates' forum for the face-off in the council race in the June 7 Primary. Second ward incumbent Nicholas Joanow is challenged by Paul Halligan; Third ward incumbent Robert Ruane is challenged by Carlos Bernard.   Whoever wins the primary will go on to be the Democratic contender in the November general election.

The forum will again be moderated by League of Women Voters member Michelle Bobrow.  The forum is held in cooperation with Bloomfield College and the LOWV.

For the June Primary you must be registered as a Democratic to vote for the Democratic candidates or registered as a
Republican to vote for the Republican candidates.
Democrats will be voting for one Ward candidate.
Deadline for voters to register to vote, change their address or to change their party affiliation for the Primary is May 21.  Residents should  contact the town clerk at 973.680.4015
or download the form at: www.state.nj.us/state/elections/voter-registration-application.html. If you have moved since you
last voted, you need to submit a change of
address form.
