Fair Trade Chocolate Sale at Park United Methodist Church

The Park Church Missions Team encourages everyone to buy Fair Trade chocolate for Easter this year.  Exploitation and, tragically, child slavery is rampant on cocoa plantations.    The U.S. State Department, Amnesty International and others have documented tens of thousands of cases of slavery on West African Cocoa plantations, often involving children between 7 and 12 years old.  Beyond this, cocoa farmers around the world endure unsafe working conditions and poverty wages.  Instead of supporting these horrific injustices, please purchase Fair Trade chocolate eggs, Easter bunnies, and other delicious chocolate bars for your Easter baskets.    Fair Trade coffee and tea will also be available for sale.
