Justine (Kirsten Dunst) and Michael (Alexander Skarsgård) celebrate their wedding at an elaborate reception on the estate of Justine’s sister, Claire (Charlotte Gainsbourg) and brother-in-law, John (Kiefer Sutherland.) As the celebration continues through the night, a planet called Melancholia is heading directly towards Earth. Dunst won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival.
