On the run from the London police, Jack the Ripper (David Warner) escapes from the 19th century in writer H.G. Wells' (Malcolm McDowell) time machine. Fearing his evil friend will unleash violence on an unsuspecting future, Wells follows Jack to 20th century San Francisco. A charming bank administrator (Mary Steenburgen) makes this a perfect Valentine's Day movie!
