Fairview School Celebrates "PI" Day in a Big Way
District schools observed the national holiday "Pi" Day on March 14, a date that numerically commemorates the mathematical constant "PI"or 3.14.
Pi Day was recently at Fairview School as part of the math curriculum. Pi Day falls on March 14, or 3/14, corresponding to the numerical digits in Pi: 3.14.
“Pi Day is a national holiday that celebrates the mathematical Greek symbol Pi,” said Fairview sixth grade teacher, Lisa Maron. “This symbol is something that my students learn about when studying geometry. Today, my sixth graders prepared lessons about math for the entire school, from grades PreK-5.”
