The adjoining block of Washington Street (between Glenwood Avenue and Farrand Street) will be the place for foodies, with downtown restaurants such as Anthony’s Cheesecakes & Restaurant, Bucco’s, Q’enko Organic Cuisine, and So Juicy along with other food vendors lining the street and selling diverse and delicious fare. All guests are welcome to dine and relax at tables/chairs which will be positioned along the block, while the 21+ crowd are invited to enjoy refreshments at the beer and wine garden provided by Bloomfield Buy Rite Liquors.
This free event is made possible by the generous support of several local entities including Clara Maass Medical Center. “We are so pleased to be a major supporter of the BCA’s various programs and activities that are focused on Bloomfield Center, and we’re proud to serve this community as a trusted health care provider,” says Mary Ellen Clyne, PhD., President and Chief Executive Officer of Clara Maass Medical Center. Additional sponsors include RISE/GTI, Jack’s Super Foodtown, Lynnes Nissan, Provident Bank, and the Township of Bloomfield.

“Many Bloomfield residents have been asking when the Harvest Fest will return to Bloomfield Center. Although this will be different, we are planning to bring just as much joy and excitement to all who attend,” says Ollyn Lettman, Director of the Bloomfield Center Alliance. “We wanted the event to be an opportunity for the community to see and connect with the many great businesses serving our growing commercial district. There will be something for everyone.” Downtown businesses who will be vending that day include Murdoch Shoes, Save and Rave Consignment Shop, Sugaring NYC, Step By Step Pediatrics, and Zura Blooms Yoga Studio.
Bloomfield Center has experienced much success this summer with Dinner Under the Stars, a popular weekly al fresco dining event with live entertainment, that takes place on Washington Street. The BCA is looking forward to ushering in the fall with even more reasons to visit Bloomfield’s vibrant downtown, such as the upcoming Bloomfield Center Restaurant Week, which takes place September 28 to October 2.
