Investors Bank Sunset Classic
The Sunset
Classic is back for the 26th running on Thursday, June 26, 2014 with Kids
Sprints at 6:30pm, the Mile Fun Run at 7:00pm and the 5 Mile Road Race through
the streets of Bloomfield and Glen Ridge at 7:30pm.
There will
be fun for the whole family with Kids Races for ages 2 – 11. The Bloomfield
grammar school with the highest percentage of runners that participate in the
Mile Fun Run will receive The Rick Peterson Award, a teachers grant from the
Bloomfield Educational Foundation. And of course the 5 Mile Road Race. The race
is possible with the help of our Title Sponsor, Investors Bank, along with
others including CB&I, Brookdale Shoprite, BMW of Bloomfield, Fleet Feet
Sports, Saucony, Pharmachem Labratories, Decker Tape, JL Mechanical, St
Valentines Atheletic Club, Obal’s Inn,
Grand Rental Station, Clif Bar, Joseph Mason DMD, FAGD and Daniel Leitman DMD, the Bloomfield Police and Fire departments. Borough of Glen Ridge and the many
organizations that provide volunteers.

With the
generous help of the Township of Bloomfield and its many agencies and
departments, the Sunset Classic, under the umbrella of the Bloomfield
Educational Foundation, a 501(c)3 corporation, will be able to distribute
valuable funds to the Vocational Educational Special Training (V.E.S.T)
Program.
Bring the
entire family for a fun filled evening and a great kick off to the 4th
of July. There will be hot dogs,
refreshments and ice cream, music, giveaways and shirts to all pre and post
