National Cheesecake Day is Monday, July 30

Today, Monday, July 30th, is National Cheesecake Day -- and where better to celebrate it than Bloomfield?

Bloomfield happens to have some of the very best cheesecake you can find anywhere.  Gencarelli's, one of the most popular bakeries in town, makes delectable homemade cheesecake, and the State Street Diner and the Navade Diner both offer a generous variety of flavors that will please any cheesecake lover. 

Anthony's Cheesecake offers 24 flavors -- every flavor from Red Velvet to baked cinnamon apple to chocolate peanut butter swirl -- making it a favorite destination of cheesecake lovers.

"Cheesecake is the best dessert in the world," says Anthony Lauro, who co-owns the cafe with Philip Byrne. "Nice fresh strawberries on a piece of creamy cheesecake -- it's a comfort food."

Beest of all, everyone who comes in Monday gets a free mini cheesecake with purchase of a lunch entree. "It's our way of saying thank you to the community," he said.
