Nutley Kia Supports The Phoenix Center
Gift from local business leader helps non-profit school better serve children and teens with disabilities

The Phoenix Center, a private school serving children with disabilities, has announced a major gift from Nutley Kia, a family owned and operated car dealership in Nutley, New Jersey.
“The business community here in Nutley have been so supportive of our school,” said Dr. Geraldine Gibbia, co-founder and executive director of The Phoenix Center. “This important and generous gift from Nutley Kia will allow us to expand programs for the students we serve.”
“We are thrilled to partner with The Phoenix Center,” said James Russomano, owner of Nutley Kia. “My wife Anne and I are in awe of the important work with children who need help and we are proud to offer our support.”

The dealership has a strong commitment to community involvement through their Safe Kids campaign, which promotes car safely, bike safety and coalition -building
About The Phoenix Center: Founded in 1991, The Phoenix Center serves roughly 145 students from 64 districts and nine New Jersey counties. The Phoenix Center is a state-approved, nationally-accredited, not-for-profit school serving the educational, behavioral and therapeutic needs of students ages five through 21 with autism, multiple disabilities, behavioral and intellectual disabilities. The Phoenix Center’s customized programs are anchored in a hands-on, real-life, community-based instruction model. Students are placed at The Phoenix Center by their local school district, and attend at no cost to parents.
