Police Blotter: Residential Burglaries, Thefts from Vehicles and Arrests

BURGLARY
Residential Burglaries
Nov. 15: A man living in a apartment at 214 Franklin St. said while he was in the shower, a tenant from another apartment kicked in his front door and removed an Xbox and six pairs of sneaker’s from inside the victim’s apartment.
Nov. 16: A woman on the 50 block of Spruce Street said when she returned to her dorm room, she noticed her iPod and Droid phone were missing. She also said a dresser in front of an unlocked window was moved.

Nov. 17: A woman living on the 300 block of Watsessing Avenue said someone entered her home through a kitchen window using an air conditioner unit below the window. The victim said a Wii game system and 3 games were missing.
Nov. 18: A man living on the 50 block of Ella Street said someone entered his home and moved numerous items, but did not take anything. Police are unsure what the entry point of the house might have been.

Nov. 18: 50 block Rowe St. A woman living on the 50 block of Rowe Street said someone entered her home and stole a 15-inch laptop, the hard drive to an Xbox 360 game and a game. Police are unsure what the entry point of the house might have been.
Attempt Theft Of Vehicles
Nov. 17: A 2004 Infiniti from the 100 block of Warwick Street
Nov. 17: A 1999 Audi from Westinghouse Plaza.
Theft From Vehicles
Nov. 15: A man reported someone broke his driver’s side window of his car on the 70 block of Park Avenue and removed a radio, sunglasses, and CDs from his parked car.
Nov. 15: A man reported someone broke his vehicle’s window on the 50 block of Hickory Street and took a JVC radio faceplate and a GPS.
Nov. 15: A woman reported someone broke into her car at 180 Ashland Ave. and took her radio.
Nov. 20: 50 block West St. A man reported someone broke into two cars on the 50 block of West Street and took siren boxes.
Theft
Nov. 15: Someone stole a municipal lot parking meter from Washington and Farrand streets.
Nov. 15: A woman reported someone stole her bicycle from the laundry room at 88 Monroe Place.
Nov. 15: Two coin boxes attached to the outside vacuum machines were broken off the machine at 23 Conger St.
Criminal Mischief
Nov. 15: Several incidents of graffiti have been reported on the 100 block of Curtis Street, possibly occurring on the weekend.
Nov. 19: A woman reported someone scratched her car front to back on the right side on the 100 block of Monroe Place.
Nov. 20: A woman reported someone broke her rear driver’s side window on her parked car on the 1100 block of Broad Street.
Nov. 20: A woman reported someone keyed her car when it was parked overnight on her driveway on the 150 block of La France Avenue.
Nov. 21: A woman reported someone damaged her rear window with a pumpkin after the car was parked for several days on the 50 block of Darling Avenue.

Nov. 15: Pedro Geronimo of East Orange was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Nov. 15: Nicholas Restaino of Bloomfield was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Nov. 15: William Vega of Newark was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Nov. 15: Matthew McMahon of Cedar Grove was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Nov. 16: Raymond Moldonado of Allentown, Pa. was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Nov. 16: Christopher Diaz of Bloomfield was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Nov. 17: Bruce Shabanowitz of Bloomfield was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Nov. 18: Dwayne Headley of Bloomfield was arrested for DUI.
Nov. 19: Yannick Layne of Bloomfield was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Nov. 19: Charles Brown of Bloomfield was arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Nov. 20: Frank Perez of Belleville was arrested for peering and burglary.
Nov. 21: Eduardo Rosales of Elizabeth was arrested for outstanding warrants.
