ShopRite's BHS Athlete of the Month is Tonisha Beresford

The Bloomfield High School Athlete of the Month for June 2012 was sophomore track team member Tonisha Beresford, a sophomore (rising junior.)
Beresford broke the school record for the 400 meter run three times this season. Her best time of 47.01 occurred when, setting a meet record, she won the NJSIAA Sectional Championship.

Beresford placed in the Group IV Meet and concluded her season with a sixth-place finish in the Meet of Champions. She is only the second Bloomfield athlete in history to place in the M.O.C. as a sophomore.
Beresford, a scholar athlete, has a GPA of 3.08.

The BHS Track Team assisted at the elementary school townwide track meet.
The Bloomfield High School Athlete of the Month Award is sponsored by the Brookdale ShopRite, which makes a donation to the Bloomfield United Way in recognition of each month's winner.
